The Three Girls (okay, four if you count Bugsy!)

Me and my sweet girls on Mother's Day. I love this photo. The girls and I have been through a lot of changes in the last month. It has been quite a roller coaster ride for us. Sometimes the ride is so fast, we have to close our eyes...taking the turns and dips. As long as we hold on tight to eachother and don't let go, we'll be just fine. I've very proud of my girls. I love them so so much. They are amazing!

BUGSY

After muscle relaxants, heavy steriods, and some much needed rest, Bugsy is doing better this morning. Her back legs are still weak but has gained some control in them. We are breathing a sigh of relief.

BUGSY

I just dropped off Bugsy at the vet for x-rays...her back legs have been sore for the last 2 days. Poor girl. I hope she's going to be okay. We're all pretty concerned here.

Book Bags, Pillows, OH MY!

We have been having a lot of fun sewing. The girls wanted to make a book bag for my mom. We found an easy pattern and some fabric. It came together pretty quickly. Kassidy also wanted to make a little pillow with leftover dress fabric. Cute!

Samantha's Dress

Samantha and I finished sewing her dress today! She decided that she not only wanted to "press the pedal with her foot" again but wanted to "guide the fabric through the sewing machine" too! She did such a great job on her dress. Here's a few pictures from today. Cute!

Holiday

OK. Tomorrow's another holiday so that means no school (again). I have a playdate lined up in the afternoon so here's hoping that the girls can hold it together until 1pm. (i.e., avoid so much arguing, pestering, name-calling, yelling, bossing, and any other annoying sisterly-type traits!) If you think of me, say a quick prayer. "No school " days can go either way at our house. LOL :-)

Dreaming

The other morning, Kassidy was sleeping in...I could hear her laughing in her sleep!! It was so, so sweet!

Fun with the girls

Since yesterday was a holiday, a friend of mine and I took our girls (we each have two around the same age) to OMSI. We had such a good time letting the kiddos play and explore while we chatted. I rarely stay at those places long because I get bored very quickly but we were there for nearly 4 hours! Good fun.

A good movie

While the girls were having a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa W.'s house tonight, Bryan and I had our 'date'. We went to see Gran Torino and I highly recommend you go see it. Clint Eastwood was amazing as always and the story's message was a good one.....It's never too late to make a change in your life.

A good book

I'm currently reading "Three Weeks With My Brother" by Nicholas Sparks. I'm only 6 chapters in but I'm really enjoying it. It's a true story about the author and his older brother taking a 3 week trip around the world. What are you reading right now?

Sewing with the girls

Samantha decided that she wanted to learn how to sew. Since the girls had an extra week off from school (due to the snow), we found a easy-sew kit for pillowcases. The kit even included pre-cut fabrics!

The girls enjoyed ironing, pinning, and sewing the fabric. They said their favorite part was pressing on the little sewing machine pedal. We had so much fun that we went back to the fabric store and they each picked out fabric for dresses!
